Multi Skilled Engineer - London

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our maintenance team in London. As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining plant, equipment, and building services across our client's sites.
About the Role:
As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Identifying and managing risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving maintenance programs.
2. Using new equipment and technologies to maintain a working production environment and liaising with clients on maintenance requests.
3. Fault finding on a range of machinery, including heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
4. Providing electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department.
5. Writing and following risk assessments and ensuring safe and accurate completion of tasks.
6. Working on three-phase systems with voltages up to 440V and completing tasks on motors, gearboxes, valves, and other equipment.
7. Using mobile devices to accurately project and complete tasks from the CAFM maintenance system.
8. Liaising with onsite site services to manage building services-related issues.
9. Deputizing for the Shift Leader during annual leave or sickness.
10. Working overtime, including nights and weekends, as required.
11. Performing ad-hoc duties as needed.
Requirements:
1. Recognized or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
2. Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
3. Electrical competences/qualifications to a minimum of City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualifications to 17th Edition.
4. Mechanical competences/qualifications to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's Mechanical.
5. Good multi-skilled ability.
6. Experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters.
7. Hydraulic/Pneumatic experience.
8. Ability to fault find and diagnose PLC systems.
9. NVQ qualifications to Level 2, Electrical and Mechanical.
10. Ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements.
11. Ability to understand and write permits.
