Job summary Band 2 Outpatient Receptionist Full Time Are you a receptionist who is passionate about providing excellent customer service to patients/carers/relatives in an extremely busy and fast paced environment. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Receptionist to work in Main Outpatients at Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup. You will be working with colleagues and other health care personnel within the team who are qualified and unqualified to ensure smooth running of clinics and the delivery of all appropriate forms of patient care according to outpatient clinic standard and Trust policies, procedures and guidelines. You will need to liaise with medical staff, clinicians, health records staff and other departments as appropriate, in order to provide an excellent standard of care and customer service Main duties of the job The successful candidate will work in Main Outpatients. We are looking for you to apply if you are a motivated receptionist, with knowledge and experience in an acute or primary care setting. You will have excellent interpersonal, IT and communication skills with the ability to organise, manage and plan your workload effectively. You will need to be dedicated and passionate in your role working with patients/ carers/ relatives including those who may have specific needs such as mentally and /or physically impaired, young children, the elderly, the very ill, non-English speaking or hearing or visually impaired.
