An exciting opportunity has arisen for a flexible and motivated individual to join our Paediatric Management team full time as an Administration Assistant, providing general office and customer service support for the management team. This post will be based at Royal Derby Hospital.
This is an exciting role for someone wishing to gain experience in a Paediatric setting and further their career. You will provide a professional and comprehensive service to the Business Unit team, ensuring the effectiveness of all communications and organisational systems at all times.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, in both written and verbal form. Good organisational and time-keeping skills. Good, accurate keyboard/ word processing/ data inputting skills and speeds, especially in Microsoft Office software and Outlook. A good standard of general education to GCSE level (or equivalent) to include English and Maths at Grade C or above.
The post holder must be computer literate with knowledge and practical experience of IT applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and internet.

Duties you will be expected to assist with include: photocopying, laminating, ordering stationery, booking and arranging meetings, minute and note-taking, diary management, producing the department newsletter, completing Charitable fund requests, collection and accurate inputting of data to support local and national reporting, and dealing with non-clinical phone enquiries.
You will be responsible for managing highly confidential, extremely sensitive information on a regular basis. Discretion is required at all times.
You will support the Business Unit PA with co-ordinating regular and ad-hoc meetings such as Business Unit meetings, corporate meetings and off-site meetings, in advance, and supplement with the production of agendas, minutes and action plans.
