We are seeking a dedicated Business Support Assistant to join our Facilities Services section, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for:
1. Monitoring employee absence within the service area.
2. Providing critical support to management in maintaining optimal staffing levels and enhancing productivity.
3. Prioritising various shared office tasks, ensuring that all deadlines are met with precision.
4. Supporting other areas of our wider department.
5. Providing administrative and technical support to all areas of Facilities Services.
6. Dealing with internal and external customers over the telephone and email.
7. Handling daily administration and adherence to deadlines of service-specific processes.
The role is based at Riverside House and after an initial training period, you will revert to the hybrid working model of 3 office days per week and working from home for 2 days.
To meet the demands of our unique service and provide the highest level of support to our customers, our business support working hours commence in Riverside House at 7:30 AM, with office cover required until 5 PM. This ensures that we offer comprehensive coverage throughout the business day. These shifts are scheduled via a monthly staff rota which the successful candidate will be part of, covering 7:30 AM start times and 5 PM finish times each week. Outside of these scheduled shifts, all other hours are worked in line with the Council’s flexible working policy.
There will be opportunities to expand your skills and learn more about the service as you will be part of a supportive team. You will need to be hardworking, customer-focused, conscientious, and able to work in a busy environment. Excellent IT skills and MS Excel knowledge are essential. Training will be provided for our internal systems.
