Job Purpose: Join us on an exciting adventure in aviation safety As a lead Safety Engineer, you'll be an integral part of our dynamic team, collaborating closely with the Head of Design, Head of Initial Airworthiness, and our esteemed Airworthiness team. Responsibilities: As a valued member of the Safety Engineering and Airworthiness team, you'll play a key role in delivering systems safety objectives to both our business and clients. Your tasks will include: Providing safety input for bids, internal/external design reviews, and certification-related activities. Guiding safety program requirements. Collating evidence and deliverables to support the generation of product safety arguments. Creating and monitoring hazard identification & controls. Conducting detailed analyses of complex systems via structured safety methodology. Producing safety assessment (case) reports. Reviewing and producing system-level analyses, integrating inputs from multiple sub-systems. Preparing and delivering performance reviews. Requirements/Qualifications: Aviation management experience Aircraft certification principles (Inc Certification programmes). ATA chapters. Hazard logs & analysis, including HAZID, HAZOP, FHA. Analysis techniques like FTA, ETA, FMEA, FMES, and Bowtie. Production of safety documentation. Understanding of DO178 / DO254. Familiarity with international standards such as IEC 61508, IEC 62368. ARP 4761, and ARP 4754. Experience working within a management system environment, including UK CAA, EASA, and FAA. Ability to lead activities related to work package creation, management, and delivery.
