About Us and The Role
Tired of working a 9 to 5 job? Then this may be just the role for you!
Within this role, you will be supporting Social Care staff within The Emergency Duty Team outside of office core hours. We work with colleagues and multi-agency professionals at all levels across the service to contribute to positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable Children and Families, working together across Warwickshire. Warwickshire puts children at the heart of everything we do. We work with children and families restoratively, building strong relationships and connections to help families find long-lasting solutions.
The Emergency Duty Team working hours are for night owls, working evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Each EDT shift is a new day and comes with new challenges and a wide range of task variety.
Business Support contributes to the efficient running of the team and the achievement of the County Council vision to make Warwickshire the best it can be, sustainable now and for future generations.
You will work in a team to provide effective, flexible, and responsive Business Support to one of the Council’s Services, with the ability to support other teams as and when required. It is a fast-paced, energetic, and exciting area to work in, where you will be part of a close team.
You will be joining a cohesive team of enthusiastic, motivated, and supportive Social Workers and Family Support Workers of mixed levels of experience. Equally, we have a strong and experienced management group who work hard to promote a consistently good standard of Social Work practice using a restorative approach, which is then reflected in the way we support our families.
We also offer agile working, as well as hybrid working with expectations that office working is required at the weekends and bank holidays.
Key Requirements
You will work proactively, looking for new ways of working, contributing to the outcomes of the services that you are supporting as well as the outcomes of the Business Support Service.
We are looking for someone who has good organisational skills, is able to problem solve and use their own initiative, with great attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
