Job Title: Intercompany Credit Controller

Your role:
The Order to Cash (OTC) Intercompany Credit Controller is responsible for managing and overseeing the credit control processes within the organization, specifically focusing on intercompany transactions. This role involves ensuring timely payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records to support the company’s financial health and operational efficiency. You will develop and execute continuous process improvements to streamline the order-to-cash intercompany process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Credit Control Management: Manage and oversee the collection of outstanding intercompany debts. Ensure timely payments are made across all intercompany transactions. Manage and resolve queries raised by affiliates and internal stakeholders.
* Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of intercompany accounts. Identify and invoice intercompany recharges, per Global Recharge Policy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in intercompany balances. Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records for intercompany transactions.
* Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on intercompany debts and credit status. Provide insights and recommendations to improve credit control processes.
* Communication and Coordination: Liaise with various departments to ensure smooth intercompany transactions. Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits. Maintain effective communication with all relevant stakeholders.
* Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with company policies by maintaining internal controls. Identify and mitigate risks associated with intercompany credit control. Maintain and update credit control policies and procedures.
* Support and Training: Provide training and support to junior team members on credit control processes. Assist in the development and implementation of credit control training programs.
Key Skills and Competencies:
* Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
* Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in handling financial transactions.
* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve complex issues related to intercompany transactions.
* Organizational Skills: Effective time management, ability to multitask and prioritise projects working well under pressure.
* Knowledge of Accounting Software: Proficiency in accounting and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
* Self Motivated: Strong work-ethic and a self-starter who proactively seeks out new solutions. Proficient in excel, google sheets & loves working with numbers. Understanding of internal controls, indirect taxes, and service desk operations desired.
