* 8 weeks supernumerary status.
* The opportunity to work cross site at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Emergency Department CYPU.
* The EPALS course.
* Study days to support the managerial and leadership aspects of the role, e.g., appraisal training.
* Skills training in venepuncture, cannulation, and plaster application.

Main duties of the job
* To function as a competent clinical practitioner within their designated clinical area.
* To deliver direct patient care while coordinating and overseeing nursing practice.
* To be responsible for ensuring the delivery of clinical activities during their span of duty.
* To ensure efficient and effective utilization of resources to deliver optimum quality care to their client group.
* To deputize for the ward/department manager in their absence, driving forward evidence-based practice and taking responsibility for the supervision of staff and the policies and practices that operate within their clinical area.
* To work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
