A company vehicle (or cash allowance) will be provided by our client.\n\nRole Overview:\n\nTo provide break fix, installations, and maintenance services across a range of multi-vendor (IBM, Dell, etc) and HPE technologies and services at multiple locations, including, but not limited to:- Servers, Storage, Networks, and Printers\n\nJob Details:\n\nFurther Development: Opportunity to move into the Technical Field Engineer role for those with aspirations and upon meeting the high standards required\nProspects: Long term career progression within the HPE CDS business and Long term career progression within the HPE parent company with opportunities in Aruba Networking, Account Management and Professional service areas of the business ( Both HPE CDS and the parent company HPE prefer to promote from within) The responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):\n\nHandling a large variety of service requests, from routine repair and maintenance of hardware/peripherals to configuring components and supporting technical issues for large, complex multi-platform systems.\nTo be aware of and adhere to customer contractual obligations and service level agreements.\nBuild and maintain ongoing relationships with their customers and deal with them in a polite and professional way.\nTo learn the fundamentals of recognised business practice in the context of a working customer support environment.\nTo work closely with assigned mentors to learn all aspects of support operation, including customer call handling and technical ability.\nMaintain and contribute towards technical documentation to support technical solutions and initiatives.\nTo inform line management of all instances of customer dissatisfaction immediately they are known and escalate as necessary.\nSupport and adhere to all company performance and service delivery metrics.\nMaintains a high level of customer satisfaction by clarifying customer needs and ensuring that they are met.\nHandles customer-relations problems promptly and appropriately, escalates issues according to established procedures.\nContinuously utilises on-site customer visits and contacts to identify and report new business opportunities (hardware and services) for the benefit of overall business growth.\n\nYour training will start with an 18-month Digital Technology: IT Support Modern Apprenticeship, which consists of learning on the job, as well as our custom-built E-Learning platform. You will develop all the skills you need to pass your work-based assessments. Our assessors are available to provide one-to-one support and will work with your line manager to ensure you settle into your new role.\n\nYou will gain a Diploma in Digital Technology: IT Support, which is a Nationally recognised qualification and may be used to gain employment and further your career in IT. Driving Licence and travel to Glasgow and Edinburgh areas are absolutely essential.\nNational 5 or equivalent in Maths and English.\nAny IT qualifications are also desirable.\nTo meet our clientâs customer requirements, working out of hours is commonplace, and the successful candidate would be expected to take part in such activity once sufficient skill levels are achieved, with the end aim of joining a local on-call rota\nCandidates must have a long-term aspiration of a career in the IT industry and be prepared to work hard to complete their apprenticeship\n\nPassion to build a career in the IT industry.\nDemonstrate a willingness to learn & commitment.\nCustomer service experience (preferred).\nMust be quick thinking & articulate as will be dealing & looking after multiple clients.\nConfident to speak on telephone and face to face with customers.\nHave high mental agility.
