St Margaret’s Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Fundraising Manager - Committed Giving to join our team. This role has a current salary of £27,682.70 per annum for 30 hours per week and can be based at either Taunton or Yeovil, with options for hybrid working.
It’s a great time to join the hospice. As well as celebrating our 45th anniversary, 2025 will see the launch of our new five-year strategy. At the heart of this, is the need to challenge perceptions and build greater awareness of what hospice care is today. We want to help people to understand how they can access St Margaret’s and benefit from our outstanding range of services.

You will steward our existing brilliant supporters, raise awareness of the hospice’s work, and generate vital funds for our clinical services

What can you expect to be doing?
You will manage our committed giving activity, specifically our Lottery, Regular Giving and Legacy programme.
Playing a vital role in maximising engagement with our community, you will create targeted and compelling campaigns and products. You’ll understand the value of knowing your audience and making data-driven decisions to plan activity which leads to high levels of conversion.
Your day to day work will include:
Managing relationships with the fundraising agencies who enable us to deliver our committed giving objectives.
Writing compelling creative briefs.
Setting robust targets and budgets and ensuring that all our activities are compliant with regulations.
Providing regular reporting against committed giving objectives, tracking expenditure on activities and delivering accurate forecasts.
Working collaboratively with our Supporter Retention Manager to ensure supporters are thanked and stewarded on an ongoing basis.

What will you be good at?
You will have:
Experience of delivering financial results in a sales, fundraising, or membership setting
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage internal and field staff
Experience of developing compelling and effective customer acquisition strategies
An ability to meet deadlines and achieve agreed targets
Experience of delivering successful campaigns through a full range of channels (e.g. telemarketing, TV, digital, etc)
