Purpose of the Role
The Marketing and Communications Business Partner will lead the strategic marketing and communications agenda for Europe & LatAm, which includes 18 countries where Diaverum is currently present in these regions.
The individual will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer for Europe & LatAm, sitting in the regional leadership team. They will collaborate on a regular basis with global and cross-functional teams, as well as external partners, to amplify Diaverum’s life-enhacing renal care offering and help establish the company as the leading provider in the region.
Operating as a key advisor and strategist, the role will drive brand positioning, support market growth, manage the company’s reputation and lead stakeholder engagement, through integrated marketing and communications strategies. It demands a hands-on, independent resourceful leader with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organisation and establish the function as a trusted centre of expertise.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a strategic marketing and communications plan for the Europe & LatAm region, to ensure alignment with business objectives and priorities, while bridging Group-wide initiatives to local market needs.
* Lead the full spectrum of marketing and communications, including brand management, public relations, digital marketing, events management, content development, and internal communications, pulling resources and support from the global marketing and communications team, as well as country teams within the Europe & LatAm region.
* Act as a key strategic advisor to the Europe & LatAm COO, becoming their go-to-person on regional marketing and communications matters. Similarly, provide strategic guidance in marketing and communications matters to country teams within the role’s remit, providing on-ground-support when needed
* Oversee market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges within the healthcare industry.
* Manage regional marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and ROI measurement.
* Collaborate with the regional medical, nursing and business development teams primarily, but also other functions, to drive lead generation, customer engagement, and market expansion initiatives.
* Lead crisis communications planning and reputation management efforts within the region.
* Support employer branding initiatives in the region to strengthen our reputation as an employer of choice and ensure the attraction and retention of top talent.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key regional stakeholders, such as industry influencers and external partners to enhance brand visibility.
* Drive employee engagement and change management initiatives through effective internal communication strategies.
* Ensure compliance with corporate guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
* Advise key regional, functional and country stakeholders on how to frame communications to diverse audiences on organisational, commercial and reputational matters.
Technical Skills
* A strategic, data-driven, and digitally savvy marketing & communications generalist with strong storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills in multicultural environments.
* Expertise in marketing, brand management, and corporate communications strategies.
* Proficient storyteller who can translate complex issues into clear, compelling messaging.
* Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, content marketing, and social media, as well as PR and media relations, including crisis communication.
* Ability to analyse market data and customer insights to drive strategic decisions.
* Proficiency in marketing analytics, reporting tools, and performance metrics.
* Experience in stakeholder engagement, including working with government agencies, healthcare organisations, and industry bodies, is highly desirable.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Proven success in remote working environments and managing multicultural teams in diverse settings.
* Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications and AI tools, such as ChatGPT and industry-specific models tailored for marketing and communications.
* Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush).
* Ability to leverage AI-driven insights to enhance content strategy, audience engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
* A modern, progressive communicator who actively seeks to maximise the impact of communication in the digital age.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in additional European or Latin American languages is a plus.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree desirable).
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing and communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sector is highly desirable.
* Proven track record of leading regional or global marketing initiatives in a multinational organisation.
* Demonstrated experience in managing teams and external agencies.
* Willingness to travel across Europe & LatAm as needed (30%-50%).
