Sister / Charge Nurse (Paediatric Emergency Department)
An opportunity has become available for a Sister/Charge Nurse within the Paediatric Emergency Department at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
You will work closely alongside the Adult Emergency Department and provide strong leadership, coordination, and teamwork skills.
Main Duties of the Job
You will need significant A&E paediatric experience, which includes experience at Senior Staff Nurse Level. Be dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic with a very high standard of clinical practice.
You will need to be educated to degree level.
A proven track record with evidence of having excellent communication, leadership, team building skills, and management of change is required.
The candidate will have a global understanding of health delivery and the implications for Emergency pathway development.

Job Responsibilities
The post-holder works as an expert practitioner and is responsible for the delivery of patient-focused programmes of care, which address the complex and changing health and well-being needs of the client group in his/her clinical area.
The post-holder displays excellent communication and leadership skills and is responsible for the day-to-day line management of the team for which he/she is responsible.
He/she is also responsible for standards of cleanliness in the clinical area and for a well-maintained Department environment. The Band 7 is a budget holder and authorised signatory for financial and physical resources.
