We are currently recruiting for an organised and efficient Publishing Services Assistant to join our Publishing Operations team. This is an entry level role and would be a perfect fit for someone looking for their first role in the publishing industry.
Role Summary
The Publishing Operations team is responsible for managing the peer review process on our journals. The Publishing Services Assistant is in the front line in terms of delivering this service.
As a Publishing Services Assistant, you will help to provide administrative support to ensure a timely, efficient and high-quality peer review service and support for authors, reviewers and in-house Publishing staff as articles are driven through the publication process. You will work with a team of Editors, Associate Editors and other Publishing Services Assistants across a variety of journals. Reporting into a Publishing Services Manager, you will work both independently and as part of a team.
What will you be doing?
1. Responding to customer queries;
2. Ensuring timely and efficient movement of articles through the publication process;
3. Ensuring that permission and copyright agreements are received and accurate;
4. Updating the peer review database promptly and accurately.
