Position Overview: Due to an increase in long-term orders, we are excited to announce multiple permanent opportunities for skilled Welders and Platers to join our established in-house fabrication team. You will play a crucial role in supporting the ongoing workload for steel fabricated structures across various projects throughout the UK. Key Responsibilities: Execute medium to heavy fabrication. Demonstrate proficiency in fabrication skills and techniques for various metal types, including steel and stainless steel. Read and interpret fabrication drawings accurately. Safely handle heavier components using mechanical aids and cranes to reduce manual handling risks. Work in a variety of environments, primarily within the workshop and workbench, with potential on-site tasks that may include working at height or in confined spaces. Operate hand tools, power tools, and other machinery in a safe and efficient manner. Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free work area by adhering to good housekeeping practices. Follow all company policies related to Health and Safety, including the use of PPE. Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the company. Requirements: Welding candidates will be required to complete a weld test as part of the interview process to demonstrate their skills and aptitude. (previous experience of bridge manufacturing would be advantageous).
