Parkview Care Centre are looking for a Lifestyle Assistant to join their family-friendly residential home, caring for people with Dementia.
The Lifestyle Assistant will motivate, inspire, and mobilise team members in the home to be involved and engaged in the provision of stimulating activities within the resident’s environment.
Responsibilities include:
1. Planning, organising, promoting, and implementing a meaningful, enjoyable, engaging, and stimulating activities programme based on relationship-centred care principles.
2. Motivating, inspiring, and mobilising other care team members within the home.
3. Role modelling relationship-centred care to empower residents with their lifestyle choices.
4. Ensuring there are always sufficient equipment and resources available for the team to meaningfully engage and occupy residents.
5. Actively engaging with residents in conversation and meaningful occupation related to their lifestyle choices at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences.
Experience:
* Proven track record of organising, coordinating, and motivating others.
* Experience of organising and scheduling programmes of events or activities.
* Experience working and/or engaging with older people (both living with and without Dementia).
* Experience delivering high-quality relationship-centred care.
Skills/Knowledge:
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and clinical skills.
* Knowledge of and competence in core Microsoft Office applications.
* Passionate and keen to develop new skills.
* Listening skills.
* Data management (for record keeping and review).
* Ability to organise efficiently and prioritise workloads whilst under pressure.

* Willing and able to work outside standard work hours.
