Job Description:
I am seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Combustion Engineer to join a leading facilities maintenance company based in Watford at a critical Pharmaceutical site. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in commercial heating systems to deliver high-quality services across a range of commercial and industrial properties.
Key Responsibilities:

Service, Maintenance & Repairs:
Perform planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, and repair of commercial gas boilers, burners, and heating systems across various client sites.

Diagnostics:
Carry out fault-finding and troubleshooting to ensure heating systems operate efficiently and effectively.

Compliance:
Ensure all work complies with current gas safety standards, regulations, and industry best practices. Complete relevant safety documentation (e.g., Gas Safe Certificates).

Installation:
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new commercial heating systems and components as required.
*
Customer Service:
Provide professional and clear communication with clients, offering advice on system efficiency improvements and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate service records, including job sheets, risk assessments, and service reports.
*
Emergency Support:
Participate in an on-call rota to provide emergency breakdown assistance when required.
Key Requirements:

Qualifications:
* Gas Safe Registered.
* ACS Commercial Gas qualifications (e.g., COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1).
* OFTEC qualification (advantageous but not essential).
* NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing/Heating or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:
* Proven experience working on commercial heating systems, including boilers and associated plant.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) is an advantage.

* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Other Requirements:
* Full UK driving license.
* Flexibility to travel across Watford and surrounding areas.
