Acting as the primary customer contact in managing a portfolio of Subsidence claims, you’ll be a specialist in this area, with significant knowledge of the claims lifecycle and depth of experience in managing claims and colleagues at all levels.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities - What you will do:
* Answer first point of contact calls and subsidence claims calls
* Advise policyholders on general queries and insurance claims issues for subsidence and underground pipes claims
* Negotiating settlement of claims both verbally and in writing
* Use of good questioning to establish a valid claim
* Build rapport with all callers and departments
* Managing multiple activities by prioritising important and urgent tasks whilst maintaining the focus on the policyholder
* Manage a portfolio of claims through prioritising by individual circumstances from set up to settlement
* Set policyholders accurate expectations for their claims journey
* Identify any potential fraud triggers
* Complete all relevant steps when setting up claims
* Become knowledgeable in our policy wordings/products
* Requesting and gathering documents and information from customers such as receipts, photographs or accident reports and storing them on the claim file
* Ensuring that SLA’s and KPI’s are met and maintained consistently
Person Specification
Experience & Knowledge
* At least 2 years of experience in a Customer Service Role
* Previous claims experience is desirable but not essential
Skills & Abilities
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good organisational skills
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Tact and assertiveness when dealing with Supplier/Surveyor Network
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
* PC literate with good administrative skills
* Ability to take on increased ownership and responsibility when necessary
