About the role Are you a project manager with a passion foreducation and a desire to make a real impact? Bournemouth University (BU) is seeking a Schools Liaison Manager (Apprenticeships) to lead our efforts in increasing awareness and access to degree apprenticeships. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile project funded by the Office for Students. In this role, you will be at the forefront of BU’sengagement with schools, colleges, and academies, helping to drive forward ourmission to increase equality of opportunity and promote degree apprenticeshipsas a valuable alternative to traditional undergraduate pathways. You will beresponsible for developing and delivering innovative outreach and recruitment activities aimed at prospective apprentices, particularly those from underrepresented groups. Key responsibilities include: Leading the development and implementation of aprogressive programme of outreach activities targeting learners aged 8-19. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to promoting degree apprenticeships. Managing relationships with schools, colleges,and key influencers to raise aspirations and increase application and enrolmentrates from target learners. Ensuring that all activities are delivered to ahigh standard, are audience-focused, and support key transition points in the educational journey. Monitoring and evaluating programme success toensure continuous improvement. We are looking for someone with strong project management skills, the ability to build and maintain effective partnerships, and a passion for widening participation in higher education. You should have a proven track record of successfully managing outreach programmes, an understanding of the UK education system, and knowledge of degree apprenticeships. About the department Our Marketing & Communications department is made up of experts in student recruitment, design, digital, PR, market research and more, all of whom work to support BU’s strategic plan. We work with senior stakeholders to influence recruitment targets and support the university in shaping our portfolio to optimise recruitment. We embed effective internal communications activity throughout the University to ensure academic and professional services staff are well equipped and informed. £33,882 to £39,105 per annum (pro rata) with progression opportunities to £42,632
