Priory Hospital East Midlands, located between Nottingham and Mansfield, is a 28-bedded specialist acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) service for adult females. Conveniently located close to the M1 motorway, it is easily accessible for patients and colleagues who need access to the service. Our service offers specialised assessment and treatment to help patients return to either local services or alternative appropriate accommodation. It consists of two female acute wards and one female PICU (psychiatric intensive care unit) ward.
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist / Head Of Therapy to join the team.
You will contribute to the provision and development of the psychology service within the hospital/unit and provide psychological input in line with the agreed service provision, as well as the identified risks and needs of the patients. You will undertake the role of Psychologist for designated ward(s) and/or group of patients at Priory East Midlands Hospital.
With support from the wider MDT/SMT, you will co-ordinate the delivery of psychological assessment and intervention from other psychology staff including qualified psychologists, trainee psychologists, assistant psychologists, and students. Where appropriate, you will act as a point of liaison between the inpatient psychology pathway and the community psychology pathway.

1. Sapphire Ward – a female psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU)
2. Quartz Ward - an acute ward for females
3. Opal Ward - an acute ward for females
Our wards offer assessment and treatment to females with a broad range of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, and personality disorders.
