About the role
Pay Details: OM1 £59,285 - £65,006
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: Mon – Fri (with on call)
Main Place of Work: Docks Office
Description: You will be responsible for our Early Help and Flying Start services, our Intake Team and our Youth Justice and Early Support Service, each of which has an established management team, supporting able and talented practitioners. Working with our internal and external partners, you will oversee the delivery of high quality services to children, young people and their families using our strength-based approach.
You can expect warmth and high levels of support from a committed workforce and an Authority where wellbeing and development are central to our work. We are operating a hybrid model, with opportunities to work in the office and at home.
About you
You will need:
A proven track record of effective management within Children’s Social Services is essential.
Crucially, you’ll know what good practice looks like and how to help our workforce achieve these standards within a demanding environment.
Excellent judgement and first class leadership skills will enable you to make a positive and lasting contribution to Social Services within the Vale of Glamorgan.
You will be a qualified, registered Social Worker.
