The Department Rotherham Hospice Rotherham Hospice is an independent hospice located about one mile from Rotherham General Hospital It has 14 inpatient beds, a Day Hospice and community team comprising of Clinical Nurse Specialists and Hospice at Home Team that is available 24 hours a day. Palliative Medicine Palliative Medicine is part of Corporate Services. Currently the Palliative Medicine Team is employed by TRFT but funded via a Service Level Agreement with Rotherham Hospice. The Post The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, in collaboration with Rotherham Hospice has 0.9 WTE maternity leave cover for 1 year, post available in Palliative Medicine. This post is at speciality doctor level and the successful candidate will participate in clinical work in Palliative Medicine, across Rotherham (hospital, hospice, and community) and will be based at Rotherham Hospice. The successful applicant will be provided with supported induction into the NHS and the Trust and become a part of the clinical teams, where they will also be supported with their learning and personal development. These posts are not approved by the Postgraduate Dean or the Royal College of Physicians for training, but the Trust recognises that individuals in these posts will need support and will provide access to teaching and learning resources within the Trust, for example clinical skills training, departmental teaching, multi-professional team training, e-learning and consultant feedback.
