Your role. As the Vendor Manager you will m anaging the day-to-day relationship with our Product Vendors to drive service excellence, control costs and mitigate risks to gain increased value throughout the Product & Contract lifecycle. The Vendor Manager will develop and sustain long-standing relationships with Vendors & Suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts, communicating expectations and performance, and resolving any product or service-related concerns. The Vendor Manager will coordinate with various cross-functional departments, working on projects to support our longer term business strategy, maintain Supplier & Vendor records and databases, and build reports and surveys for tracking and auditing vendor programs. Based at our Banbury Office the Vendor Manager will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer. Your core responsibilities will be: Managing our Vendors and contracts, monitoring performance, owning improvement plans, setting standards for vendor performance & responsibilities. Exploring opportunities throughout the contract lifecycle to reduce cost, or improve outcomes. Sourcing, selecting & negotiating supply solutions that deliver real value to Westbase.IO and our customers. Developing the Procurement Function, demonstrating influence and commercial acumen, being a proactive contributor to the success of the business. Continuously improve delivery, quality, availability, etc. Develop sustainable procurement methods to contribute to Westbase.io’s ESG goals. Contributing to Westbase.io’s long term Vendor Strategy. What you need to have. To do this job well you need to have or be: Experience in a relevant Supplier Relationship, Vendor, or Procurement position in a value add Technology Distributor or IT Managed Services provider. Degree in a related discipline. CIPS qualification, Level 5 would be advantageous. An understanding of our products and services and how these are used in networking and XR. Excellent negotiation and commercial skills. Demonstrable experience of identifying opportunities and delivering added value through procurement. Own your own performance in a high-performance environment. Strong problem-solving ability, analytical skills. Excellent organisational skills including priority-setting and the ability to adjust as demands change. An ability to interact & negotiate with Suppliers & Vendors at all levels i.e. C-Level, product management, etc. while building and maintaining commercial relationships. Excellent communication & presentation skills – our main interface to our key Suppliers & Vendors, they will need to be able to articulate our value whilst being aware of what they need (always selling Westbase.io).
