A reputable tool and equipment hire company is looking for a Driver/Fitter to join its team. This role offers a great mix of hands-on technical work and driving responsibilities, ensuring customers receive fully serviced and well-maintained hire equipment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in equipment servicing, repair, or maintenance, combined with a full UK driving licence and a proactive attitude. About the Role As a Driver/Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a range of hire equipment while also assisting with equipment deliveries and collections. You will work closely with the hire desk team to ensure customer needs are met efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Service, repair, and maintain a range of equipment and accessories. Complete all necessary paperwork for company records. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and tidy workspace. Correctly use and return company-issued tools. Load/unload company and customer vehicles as needed. Assist with external breakdowns and repairs. Support other staff for training and team development. Undertake driving duties during periods of high demand or staff absence. Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM 15-minute morning and afternoon breaks 30-minute lunch break What’s on Offer: Competitive salary of £25,000 - £26,000 (subject to experience) 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) Workplace pension scheme A supportive team and structured working environment Skills & Experience Required: Experience in tool or equipment servicing and repair (preferred).
