Role: Programme Manager for HR Systems
The role holder will lead on the successful transition from the current HR platform, defining the new solution and implementing within a committed timeframe and budget, working closely with the vendor delivery team, Head of People Operations, alongside several SMEs from key departments such as HR, Finance, Technology, and Procurement.
Key Accountabilities
The role of the Programme Manager HR System will be to review and propose the most appropriate HR systems solution for approval, considering functionality, budget, and product maturity.
Engage with procurement team for contract management. Own and lead on all project relations with the approved vendor delivery team, alongside a business analyst. Map and track responsibilities with all relevant SMEs, ensuring processes definition and change control is managed to a high standard.
Regular engagement with programme stakeholders across the university to review change management, project scope, milestone success tracking, and budgets. Building a robust record of documentation and training material for publication.
Person Specification
The postholder will be a confident and adaptable Programme Manager who is experienced in delivering system transition projects within explicit timeframes within budget through strong vendor relations management and stakeholder collaboration.
Essential Criteria
1. Proven project management experience, including the successful transition of a data and process heavy enterprise applications.
2. Understanding the processes involved in defining delivery milestones, tracking and reporting, and holding those accountable for delivery.
3. Proven experience of vendor negotiation and management relations skills.
4. Collaborates with stakeholders and reports to them on a regular basis.
5. Experience with sizeable budget management and milestone payment accountability for system transition projects.
6. Knowledge and experience of communications, planning and delivery to support change initiatives, and able to clearly articulate messages to a wide variety of stakeholders.
7. Experience of using industry-standard project management methodologies and tools.
8. Proven successful risk mitigation and quality management experience.
