On behalf of our client we are looking for a QUALITY/TECHNICAL MANAGER to join their successful team. Based in Thetford and reporting to the Board of Directors, your main responsibilities will be : Be the key contact person responsible for ensuring technical compliance To support External audits by ECS (RM/Component Suppliers) To complete Internal Audits Coordinate and lead Customer Audits Be the coordinated of customer complaints response and ensure that any or all corrective actions are put in place Auditing to GMP/ISO standards so that going forward we are ready for these standards should we want accreditation. Ownership of monitoring of incoming Raws/Components ensuring fit for use before they get onto the line. Supplier reviews to ensure materials purchased are of appropriate standard, consistency and are ethically produced SOP reviews for processes and procedures relevant from a technical perspective to the business. Ensuring correct documentation is in place on portals Portal management ensure portals are regularly reviewed, updated and responded to as appropriate Leading a team of quality technicians Influencing the creation of new quality processes. Managing the design, implementation, and control of quality systems. Ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards. Supervising inspectors and other staff. Inspecting final output and approving or rejecting products. Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis. Skills Required: Excellent understanding of the technical issues arising and how to address these proactively Ability to influence individuals, internally and externally and at all levels of the organisation. Excellent attention to detail, with previous experience in auditing Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written, with a confident and professional telephone manner. Ability to write comprehensive and useful reports that adequately address issues and provide information to enable decision making as required Document management skills, implementing and maintaining Ability to work as part of a cross functional team to proactively resolve issues and ensure that the correct technical information is available and processes are adhered to. Preferably degree qualified in a scientific discipline. Excellent Microsoft office skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience required: Previous experience in a technical role min 5 years FMCG experience min 5 years, preferably Chemical industry BRCGS experience Auditing, internal and being audited by external bodies Understanding of COMAH requirements Risk analysis; being able to identify key risks and their mitigations Report writingfor use by external parties and internally The hours of work are Monday to Friday 0800-1700 and the salary range offered is £50,000 to £55,000 per annum.
