Plant Manager - Anaerobic Digestion

About the role:
Astute's Renewables Team is proudly partnering with a great company in the UK biogas market who're looking for a Plant Manager of a newly built asset. Working with a team of Operators, we require a Plant Manager to run the plant on a day to day basis. The asset will process a mixture of agri wastes and will generate gas to inject to grid and there will be a carbon capture element on site too.
This Plant Manager role comes with a salary of up to £55,000 along with the company benefits.

Responsibilities and duties:
1. The safe and efficient day to day management of an anaerobic digestion plant
2. Managing a team of three Operators as well as specialist contractors on site
3. Full HSE management of the facility
4. Ensuring that the correct feedstock with the correct composition is being fed into the plant
5. Managing site KPIs and adjusting where required
6. Looking for ways to optimise the asset and any way to generate more biogas, safely
7. Taking responsibility for the site P&L and reporting back to management
8. Liaising with and being the primary contact for the regulatory bodies, such as the EA and Ofgem
9. Using the SCADA to help diagnose any faults and performing trend analysis where appropriate
10. Other duties as required
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
1. A higher education in an engineering discipline
2. Ideally a hands-on background
3. SCADA experience
4. Anaerobic digestion experience is but not essential. A relatable process industry is appropriate if not from AD
5. UK driving licence

The Plant Manager role would suit someone who is:
