As the firm continues to grow, they are looking to recruit a Conveyancing Fee Earner to join their busy and friendly conveyancing team. Key Responsibilities
As a Conveyancing Fee Earner, you will play an essential role in managing residential property transactions from start to finish. Your key duties will include:
* Managing a caseload of conveyancing files, including sales, purchases, and remortgages.
* Handling new client instructions, conducting due diligence, and ensuring all compliance and regulatory standards are met.
* Acting as a main point of contact for clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties, providing updates and answering queries.
* Drafting legal correspondence and documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, Land Registry applications, and SDLT returns.
* Conducting essential property searches (local authority, Land Registry, environmental) and advising the client on findings.
* Overseeing post-completion tasks, such as title registration with HM Land Registry and processing Stamp Duty payments.
* Ensuring the conveyancing case management system is updated with accurate data and tracking all key milestones.
* Delivering exceptional client service through regular communication via phone and email.
* Supporting general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and managing correspondence.
Key Skills and Experience Required
* Previous experience in a conveyancing or property law setting is highly desirable.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
* Keen attention to detail and accuracy when preparing legal documents and maintaining client files.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in liaising with clients and third parties.
* Experience using case management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team.
* Knowledge of the conveyancing process and key property law principles.
