Injection Mould Technician

Title – Injection Moulding Technician
Hours – 4 on 4 off 12 hour rotating days and nights
Salary - £35,000-£45,000pa + Shift Allowance DOE
Location – Sheffield
Role – Permanent
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful injection mould technician to work for an engineering manufacturer who have been established over 20 years and have gained themselves a reputation for excellence within that time by providing returnable packaging solutions, due to a steady increase in orders and design thereof they are now looking to recruit and bolster out their engineering teams where duties will include:
* Giving written and verbal handovers to the other shifts and the wider team.
* Accurate recording of downtime and scrap through Gemba
* Ensuring all paper records are up-to-date and accurate
* Carrying out Tool/material trials as requested
* Hanging of Tools in machines and connecting all required auxiliaries
* Efficient starting of production runs
* Colour/material changes
* Maintaining optimum production on all machines, by minimising downtime and scrap production
* Ensuring production targets are met or improved where possible (cycle times)
* Responding to production/quality issues raised by Audits or team members
* Maintaining the housekeeping standards of the department
It is expected that the successful injection mould technician will have experience of working in a similar role previously and have completed successfully started production runs, been involved in tool/material trials and accurately recording down times etc and:
* Have experience of working on machines, ideally injection mould machines
* Have experience of working in a busy manufacturing environment
* Have both electrical and mechanical engineering experience
