We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse role at Gatwick IRC to join our team. The detention centre is run for the Home Office by Care and Custody, a division of Serco, with Practice Plus Group providing healthcare services to all residents since September 2021.
Hours
Our Mental health team normally work 9 am to 5 pm with rota'd weekend cover. This position is full time, 37.5 hours a week.
Salary
You will receive an annual salary up to £52,507 per annum - depending on experience.
Golden Hello - £3,000 (£1,000 in 6 months of service, £1,000 after 12 months, and £1,000 after 24 months of service - conditions apply).

Main duties of the job
As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Work as part of an integrated mental health team, responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients' mental health needs within the Immigration Removal Centre (IRC).
* Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social, and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
* Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalized and informed by what matters to them.
* Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patients' care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.

* Registered nurse Mental Health
* Current professional qualification (NMC)
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development
* Experience of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
