An exciting opportunity has become available to join our nurse-led team on Cybi Ward. We are an 18-bedded community rehab hospital.
The post is for a permanent healthcare support worker with part-time hours available. Working on the ward will involve rotation onto night duty; the ability to have a flexible approach to working hours is essential.
The post holder will support the trained nurse and other healthcare professionals in the delivery of the highest standard of patient-focused care. They will assist in improving the quality of the fundamental aspects of Health and Social Care for individuals who are acutely or chronically ill, frail, or disabled.
Applicants must have experience working in healthcare.
Main duties of the job
1. To assist the registered nurse in carrying out direct nursing care.
2. Perform patient observations: temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, blood glucose, and urinalysis following a period of on-job instruction and training.
3. To undertake delegated duties related to patient care that contribute to the ongoing support of patients.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
