The new Administrator will be a part of the Subscriptions and Finance subgroups, which manage the subscriber records and payments, payroll, projections and more, for Ethical Consumer, the UK’s longest running alternative consumer organisation. Ethical Consumer is a not-for-profit multi-stakeholder cooperative, and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. We use name-blind shortlisting. The offices are upstairs in a wheelchair accessible building. Co-operative Responsibilities All permanent staff are members. All members share the responsibilities of running the co-operative, including: Taking part in the decision-making process. Subgroups for areas of management including Personnel, Finance or Publishing. The new Administrator will be a part of the Subscriptions and Finance subgroups, which manage a range of tasks and will provide training. The role may include for example: Subscriptions: Keep subscriber records and payments up to date. Process new and renewed subscriptions and email queries. Weekly post office mailout for new subscribers. Assist with managing Direct Debit payments. Participate in 'Subs and Renewals' group meetings. Help produce monthly subs reports for the rest of the co-op. Finance Participate in 'Finance' group meetings. Support monthly payroll processes including monitoring overtime. Support financial forecasting. Process investor member payments and issue share certificates. Create invoices. Process international payments.
