Lead Quality Inspector / CNC Machinist Required ASAP!
The Best Connection are currently looking for a Lead Quality Inspector, with a background in CNC machining to join their team. The company are based in Derby and are a Tier 1 supplier into a globally respected engineering business.
* Shifts: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week). Flexible between the hours of 07:00 - 17:00 with a early finish on a Friday
* Lots of overtime available!!
* Pay: £32,000 - £40,000 pa depending on experience
* Temp to permanent
Requirements of a Lead Quality Inspector / CNC Machinist:
* Time served or apprentice trained engineer
* Experience programming and operating CMM machines such as Mitutoyos / PC-Dmis / OGP
* Strong CNC Machining background (CNC Miller, working with Heidenhain controls). Ideally programming, setting and operating both on and offline
* Previous experience programming machines offline using EDGECAM
* Previously worked with Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Iconic and Nylon
Role of a Lead Quality Inspector / CNC Machinist:
* Working with QCT software
* Performing first-off and final inspections
* Reading engineering drawings
* Program, setting and operating CMM’s to make sure accurate measurements are taken
* Program, set and operate on CNC Milling machines (HAAS & DMGs) on and offline
* Self-inspect own parts using manual measuring equipment (Micrometres and Verniers)
