We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Assistant Psychologist to join our established and skilled Community psychology team located within a CMHT. It is of note that this is a senior assistant psychologist post. Applicants must have paid experience of working as an assistant psychologist (minimum Band 4), and preferably experience of working with individuals presenting with severe mental illness.
The post holder will join psychologically minded multidisciplinary teams to support the recovery of adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. As a psychology team, we are committed to working with and supporting the wider team to develop and implement their psychological skills, whilst supporting our own growth and development through regular supervision & training. We are dedicated to delivering evidence-based interventions as well as contributing to the development and implementation of low-intensity innovative interventions. This involves the delivery of groups and individual work within the trauma-informed, recovery model, focusing on skills acquisition and self-management. Evaluation of interventions and the impact of the service in terms of benefit to clients is an important component of what we strive to do.
