Job Description:
On behalf of our client, NRL are recruiting for an Electrical Building Services Lead Engineer for work in the Warrington area.

You need to have Security Clearance in place; if you don’t, you need to be aware that it will take 3-6 months for security clearance to come through and you cannot start this role without it.
Role description:
1. Review of technical deliverables and support team with checking/approval activity.
2. Management of Electrical Building Services team and activities to ensure delivery prioritizing quality and time, and also collation and interface with the supporting Axiom design discipline Lead Engineers of Mechanical/Ventilation, CS&A, Process.
3. Manage interface with Stakeholders representing; Systems, Mechanical, Process, CSA, Project etc.
4. Deliver period end status updates to Key SL Stakeholders.
5. Collate current design documents using SL system including; Cimage & SL Quality Management System.
6. Presenting Electrical / UPS designs for Single Discipline Design Reviews and input into Multi-Discipline Design Reviews.
7. Representing Electrical / UPS Services in Meetings, Design Reviews, Constructability Walkdowns, HAZCONS etc.
Essential Experience and Qualifications:
1. Full confident experience of design delivery of Electrical Building Services (LV Power, Cable Management, Lighting, Fire Alarms).
2. Full confident experience of design delivery for Industrial UPS’s including key technical aspects of UPS design (e.g., Plant Upstream/downstream protective devices for correct sizing of UPS, Understanding UPS Start-up and Running Loads requirements (Rectifier/Inverter sizing) and overall changeover strategies).
3. Organisation and attending meetings with key stakeholders to extract underpinning design data (e.g., plant config management) for design incorporation.
4. Understanding and practical implementation of SL specs.
5. Appreciation and understanding of plant modifications and impact to the LV downstream systems (including SRE & SM’s) and plant impact.
6. Experience of Prelim & Detail Design including Tender Procurement Specs/Drawings including H&S overlay of hazard triangles, Calcs/OIMS’s and phasing of works with input to PEITP’s/Quality Plans, PE&ITP’s, CDM docs, Basis of Design, V&V, Regulation Register, input to EO’s, Technical Basis of Maintenance etc.
7. Understanding battery parameters including DSEAR regulations.
8. 18th Edition IET trained.
9. Check & Approval SLP.
Desirable:
1. IEng or CEng.
2. Experience of Design Delivery of recent UPS & Electrical Building Services for Sellafield Ltd.
3. Understanding and application of Fault Alarms Interfacing.
4. BAFE Qualified for any Fire Detection minor ancillary connections/design.
5. Familiar with Fit For Purpose Solutions vs Engineering Standards.
