The project:
We are expanding our transportation division and are seeking Project Engineers in disciplines including civils/structural engineering, telecoms, signaling, electrification and plant (E&P), track, buildings, and civils and services (M&E). If you are an expert in one of these rail industry specialisms, we would love to hear from you.

You’ll be responsible for:
* Coordinating work with other contractors and Network Rail.
* Liaising with route engineers (discipline-specific).
* Participating in engineering and development assurance activities to ensure schemes are affordable, meet programme requirements, and are delivered safely and environmentally responsibly in terms of time, cost, and quality.
* Engaging in the engineering assurance process, considering safety, reliability, maintainability, ease of construction, and environmental/whole life issues, supported by compliance reviews (e.g., NR/L2/CIV/003, NR/L3/CIV/0063).
* Using risk identification and evaluation methods (e.g., HAZOP, QRA) to assess and compare options.
* Developing and assuring the implementation of the chosen engineering solutions.
* Preparing and reviewing engineering assurance packages for detailed design approval and addressing clarifications or queries.
* Carrying out engineering verifications.
* Managing engineering interfaces with other disciplines.
* Collaborating with project engineers to produce and approve method statements for site works and surveys.
* Ensuring contractors’ design, construction, and specialist personnel are competent (e.g., CEM/CRE appointment).
You’ll need to have:
* Capability to undertake the NR/L2/RSE/02009 Project Engineer role.
* A good understanding of the Construction, Design and Management (CDM) 2015 regulations and the Common Safety Method (CSM) 2013 regulations, particularly regarding asset protection on various projects.
* Knowledge of Network Rail's risk assessment processes, including CSM-RA.
