The Role Reporting operationally to the COO and working closely with the Global Health and Safety Director, you will: : Lead the HS and E strategy and drive a strong safety culture across all UK offices. : Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 and oversee internal and external audits. : Implement and review safety policies and procedures to ensure they remain fit for purpose. : Oversee the site safety initiative, ensuring engineers working externally are trained, equipped, and supported with dynamic risk assessments. : Address emerging risks, including driver safety improvements. : Work with ESG teams and office managers to support net:zero carbon initiatives. : Oversee energy efficiency and sustainability measures, ensuring they are properly budgeted and tracked. : Manage one direct report (who will be part of the hiring process). : Lead on high:level incident investigations and communicate lessons learned. What We're Looking For Qualifications And Training : NEBOSH Diploma : Tech IOSH or higher Key Skills And Experience : Pragmatic and dynamic approach-an enabler rather than a rigid rule enforcer. : Ability to influence leadership and embed cultural change. : Experience in engineering, construction, or consultancy is beneficial, but a corporate background will also be considered. : Strong auditing experience with ISO standards. : Knowledge of the Building Safety Act, asbestos regulations, and refurbishment projects is an advantage. : Experience project managing ESG or environmental initiatives is desirable. : Strong communication skills, leadership presence, and gravitas.
