Job Title: Project Engineer
A challenging opportunity exists for a motivated and ambitious Project Engineer looking to advance their career and become a Project Manager. This role is based in Merseyside with a Material Handling & Conveyor Systems customer.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager to support project completion, co-ordinating activities and stakeholders required during the project using established processes. They will schedule and conduct project meetings, communicate expectations and deliverables, and track progress to enhance project quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Attend customer meetings with the Project Manager and action assigned responsibilities agreed at regular internal meetings.
* Support the management of comprehensive Microsoft Project timing plans and project variations/scope revisions.
* Attend internal and customer design reviews and produce, manage, and update comprehensive project documentation.
* Ensure all responsibilities are carried out using Project Department Processes and standard documentation.
* Support the management of sub-contract suppliers where required and attend customer sites for meetings.
* Attend customer sites during installation, commissioning & buy off stages and ensure all projects are carried out in accordance with safety and environmental accreditation.
Requirements:
* Good technical knowledge and a positive "Lead by Example" attitude.
* Flexible approach to working hours/patterns and Mechanical Engineering HNC qualifications.
* Electrical Engineering qualifications are not essential but would be useful on certain projects.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience managing material handling or conveyance projects.
* Excellent communication skills, well organised, and keen attention to detail.
* Ambitions to become a Project Manager.
Salary Information:
£50,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
