We require a Patient administrator to support the team for 15 hours a week in providing a service during the evening, at weekends & on a Bank Holiday;To include:- one Monday-Friday evening shift of 17:00 - 20:00 hrs- AND- Either 08:00- 14:00 hrs or 14:00- 20:00 hrs or 08:00 - 20:00 hrs on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday.
If you have excellent communication and organisational skills, work well under pressure and are computer literate you will enjoy the challenge this position offers. The service uses SystmOne so previous experience with this programme will be an advantage but not essential., The successful candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and be able to demonstrate the following
* Possess the ability to prioritise their own workload within a tight deadline together with their co-workers.
* Cope well under pressure
* Work well within a team and on their own.
* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Have good organizational skills.
* Demonstrate initiative and flexibility together with good attention to detail
* You must be able to deal with sensitive information and interact with patients to deal with their enquiries.
Prior experience of call handling, management and entering data into a number of systems is beneficial. Knowledge of SystmOne is an advantage but not essential.
Stroud Hospital has a dedicated Minor Injury and Illness unit that operates from 08:00-20:00, 7 days a week and is a Practitioner led service, We have in excess of 5000 staff working over 50 sites, providing a diverse range of services.
