Our client is seeking an experienced Senior/Associate Town Planner to join their expanding team. This opportunity provides a permanent role with significant room for professional growth within a team poised for expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing development applications ranging from minor projects to extensive land promotion for up to 10,000 homes
2. Contributing to and driving the growth of the planning team
3. Providing strategic town planning expertise and support to the wider business
4. Ensuring compliance with relevant planning legislation and policies
5. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes
6. Supporting junior team members and promoting an inclusive team environment
7. Effectively engaging with local authorities (LA) and navigating the planning process
8. Delivering comprehensive planning appraisals and managing multiple projects concurrently
Job Requirements:
1. Experience in development management and town planning
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
3. Ability to work predominantly in the office with some hybrid working post-probation
4. Motivated to hit the ground running and contribute to team growth
5. Background in local authority (LA) environments will be considered
6. Relevant degree in town planning or an equivalent qualification
7. Strong understanding of planning legislation and policy frameworks
