The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Training & Certification team is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced education programs leader and manager to implement a global, world-class multi-level AWS technical education program to address the demand for skilled cloud IT professionals.
In this role, with your passion for developing others, you will deliver a defined curriculum program for early career technical hires on their journey to become skilled cloud IT professionals. This multi-modal training program combines instructor-led training, lab exercises, scenario-based project sprints, and more to develop and hone cloud-based and professional development skills. In this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator, and it is expected that you will have the ability to work well with peers and students.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Deliver defined curriculum of an internal customer-facing technical education program
2. Ensure SME engagement per program requirements
3. Administer LMS tasks such as schedule sessions, register participants and instructor resources
4. Partner with learning strategy team to preserve consistent program experience for all learners globally through defined curriculum, milestones, and interactions
5. Develop and document workflows and processes
6. Provide content and class feedback to learning strategy team to drive improvements
Key job responsibilities:
1. Utilize best practices in adult learning theory to facilitate interactive class discussions/activities, answer learner questions, and provide personalized guidance
2. Provide continuous feedback on course materials to keep pace with the rapid evolution of cloud technologies and generative AI, incorporating learner feedback
3. Collaborate with the Tech U team to review and refine training content, lesson plans, instructional video, and hands-on experiences
4. Foster a strong sense of community among learners by encouraging collaboration, providing encouragement, and creating an inclusive learning environment
5. Demonstrate exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to break down complex technical topics into clear, easy-to-understand terms
6. Stay up-to-date on the latest AWS services and generative AI developments to maintain subject matter expertise
7. Provide exceptional learner support, ensuring all learners receive the guidance they need to achieve their goals
8. Administer LMS (Canvas) tasks such as schedule sessions, register learners and instructor resources
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Several years of demonstrated understanding of Cloud and Distributed computing concepts
2. Must have excellent stand–up delivery and facilitation skills and strong “stage presence” that drive key learning outcomes and motivate application beyond the classroom.
3. Curiosity and passion around learning
4. Excellent project management skills and attention to detail - able to implement globally, and at scale
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. An AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Associate-level certification
2. Experience with learning management systems and assessment tools
3. CPLP or other learning/training certification
4. Proven track record of learning lifecycle - defining, assessing, measuring, developing, implementing and reinforcing learning solutions
5. Excellent oral presentation skills, interpersonal communication, and writing skills
