The primary responsibility of the EV / ICP Project Engineer is to build, manage and continually improve the delivery process and function for Clarke EV, whilst working across both Clarke EV and ICP resources as required. A key role for the EV / ICP Project Engineer is to manage the full end-to-end provision of contract mobilisation, resource allocation, civils, electrical and customer handover.
The role holder has a responsibility to ensure that all site activities within the business operate to the highest level of safety ensuring efficiency of the works.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities/Accountabilities/Outcomes:
Delivery
1. Delivery of improved working practices specific to EV / ICP, delivering continual improvement of delivery and margin.
2. Lead regular client delivery reviews throughout delivery and ongoing service management periods.
3. Programming and scheduling of works into the delivery process.
4. The compiling of health and safety packs.
5. Ensuring materials and equipment are ordered in a timely manner, ensuring that close liaison with the Lead EV Designer to ensure accuracy of materials ordered.
6. Provision of as-built drawings.
7. Liaison with Project Managers on project deliverables, risks and issues.
Client Management
1. Relationship management of key EV Charging OEM product and delivery stakeholders.
2. To form and nurture peered relationships with all EV clients throughout the design and delivery process ensuring Clarke EV is regarded as a key delivery partner throughout ensuring future growth potential is well placed to exploit as their EV requirements expand over time.
3. Work with and support joint client engagements between our chosen technology partners and clients.
4. Liaison with customers throughout the lifecycle.
Supplier Management
1. The identification and instruction of sub-contractors, request quotations etc.
2. Providing oversight to existing Site Delivery Managers ensure that Sub Contractors deliver to SLA’s.
3. Management of Sub Contractors issues and risks, etc to ensure smooth project deliverables.
Systems
1. Measure project performance using Clarke Telecom tools and processes.
2. Perform risk management to minimise project impact.
3. To develop and implement new processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs in conjunction with Clarke PMO.
4. Ensure there is a continuous improvement mindset through regularly challenging operating practices and behaviours.
People
1. Use and continually develop leadership skills.

3. Management and provision of key resources from within Clarke EV and from across our delivery resources across Clarke Telecom.

1. Ordering of plant and materials for site.
2. Deliver contract profit levels at or better than signed off at contract award.

1. Observe and comply with all GDPR obligations.
2. Ensure that all business information is stored in a timely and responsible manner.
3. Use Sitetracker as the de facto core system for all delivery activity, ensuring that information is available to all those functions involved in the delivery of EV projects.
Governance and Compliance
1. Arrangement of pre-start meetings and ensuring all key team and sub-contractors attend and meeting is fully minuted.
2. Delivery of Key Performance Indicators and Dashboards.
3. Compliance of the CDM regulations.
4. Management of formal audits of sites for Quality, H&S, CDM compliance following build completion as required.
5. Ensuring audit findings are followed up and reported back to QUENSH.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience
Essential
1. Experience in a delivery capacity in EV or related sectors.
2. Good IT Skills (Excel, Word, Access etc).
3. Experience and knowledge of the EV Industry.
4. Experience in a similar construction role.
5. Experience of managing sub-contractors.
6. Supplier Relationship Management Skills.
7. CDM experience.
8. Experience of leading and managing teams of retained resource and key partners to deliver large and highly complex programmes and solutions to agreed time, cost and quality.
9. A proven track record of bringing industry best practice into an organisation and using this to drive continuous improvement.
10. Experience of managing remotely located, cross-functional teams.
11. Full Valid Driving license, (maximum of 3 points).
Desirable
1. Experience setting up a delivery function elsewhere by designing and implementing the functional capability.
2. Health and Safety accreditation i.e. IOSH, CDM.
3. CSCS Certification.
4. NRSWA supervisor accreditation.
5. Vendor supplier management experience.
