The primary objective of the role is to ensure our vessels berth as per our Proforma agreements, and that our vessels move through the UK ports as fast, efficiently and safely as possible. Responsibilities Main Tasks To co-ordinate people and processes to ensure that operational projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. To provide management information and operational analysis to support the correct steering of the business. Support Vendor evaluations as per Hapag-Lloyd quality manuals. Monitor Vendor service levels. Maintain Vendor Contracts negotiated by Procurement within online system to support the Auto Pricing of Work Orders. Make sure weekly maintenance and quarterly system updates are accurate and up to date. Provide ad-hoc statistics from all relevant systems to support special analysis for Management and Operations Staff. Co-ordinate maintenance of Basic Route Catalogues. Quote Actual Costs to internal departments for standard and special handling of routings, if not covered by Standard Costs. Maintain Standard Costs within online system. Co-ordinate maintenance of Vendor Organizational Catalogues, including Vendor Hierarchy. Analyze costs and volumes per vendor. Support vendor evaluations as per Hapag-Lloyd quality manuals and monitor vendor service levels. Monitor that vendors follow agreed service level as negotiated by procurement. Verify that all costs incurred are recovered. Adhoc Tasks Additional tasks to supporting our Equipment Department for Dublin tasks during holiday periods and absences • Review stock levels daily for Dublin, Cork and Belfast, Empty Releases – For deports in Dublin & Cork • Reefer releases • Emails & Calls - Update release dates, customer equipment queries & internal stock level queries • Depot detail input for export haulage and import delivery haulage • System input for export backloads • Stock Feeds - Arrange internally and externally • Source depot return details and update • Stock Report • Shunt arrangements & feeder booking • Repair statements • Storage handling charges – Dublin, Cork & Belfast Qualifications Knowledge in Shipping / container transport industry Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Skills, XLS, Word, Powerpoint Ability to work well within a busy team Good organisational & communication skills Ability to multi-task and work under strict time pressures and a willingness to show flexibility in supporting the wider team Strong and clear communication skills (written and oral) Ability to progress and resolve problems on own initiative High level of accuracy and numeracy Multitasking and Time Management Good knowledge of HL systems, specifically FIS 2, SAP, but not essential At Hapag-Lloyd, we strive to create an inclusive environment where all people, regardless of their background, can thrive and contribute to our success.
