Role: Cloud Platform Engineer Work Type & Location: Hybrid Remote UK, client visits Role Type: Permanent, various levels DOE Start Date: Immediate We are looking for a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on creating cutting-edge Hybrid Cloud solutions. You will work closely with customers and highly skilled Cloud Architects to develop and implement complex cloud solutions using modern technologies across multiple industries. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Working with platform engineers to automate and provision IaaS and PaaS resources, creating business and developer platforms, including landing zones, Kubernetes, API integration, DevSecOps tooling, CRM, ERP, machine learning, and more. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and optimize cloud services and platforms. Supporting cloud migration and adopting cloud solutions using an agile approach. Leveraging cloud-native operations tooling to observe and manage platforms and applications running in public, private, and edge cloud environments. Contributing to the optimization of cloud services using frameworks like FinOps and SRE. Engaging with stakeholders and clients to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable cloud solutions. A successful Cloud Platform Engineer will have: In-depth experience in cloud platform engineering, including working with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS resources, and using technologies like Kubernetes, API integration, DevSecOps, and machine learning. Hands-on experience with cloud migration, using agile methodologies to move platforms, products, and applications to the cloud. Strong knowledge of automation tools like Terraform, GitHub, and Ansible. Expertise in cloud service adoption and optimization strategies. Familiarity with cloud hyperscalers such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and scripting languages. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
