This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.
The role
As a MEWP Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance.
Day-to-day, you’ll utilise your HSE leadership expertise to build and ensure a strong HSE culture throughout the project lifecycle, and that activities are carried out in accordance with CDM regulations and with the site and MEH H&S plan.
Provide detailed information to construction teams regarding the accountability of assets and process for hand over or hand back of assets to others.
Review of documentation linked to PTEC throughout the lifecycle on the project.
Create and Issue a weekly PTEC asset report for accountable scope.
Issue any safety notices which impact the accountable equipment and quarantine as required.
Work in accordance with MEHA site operational procedures.
Manage the forecast of the required MEWPS and Working at Height Equipment for the MEH by working with the MEH Area Leads sixteen week forecasts.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and is based on site at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset.

Demonstrable Working from Height experience
Experience working within large scale projects
Experience of working in a Joint Venture or Alliance environment

SMSTS
MEWPs for Managers
IPAF 1b,3a and 3b
MEWP Demonstrator – if not held to be sent on a course within six months
CITB HSE Test
CCNSG Safety Passport or HS&E Test - Managers and Professionals
