Job Description We are actively seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide comprehensive support to our valued customers. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in conducting testing, commissioning, fault diagnosis, repairs, and delivering customer training for metering products and systems. Based within the Sensia UK domain, this position involves extensive travel to client sites and other Sensia offices or regions as required. Duties and Responsibilities Proactively address customer queries and requests, leveraging your initiative to involve the wider engineering team or management when needed. As a self-starter you will be expected to plan and prepare for each site mobilisation, identify visa requirements, spares requirements, documentation / drawing requirements, arrange travel, site PPE and safety requirements, and prepare all tools required to complete the on-site task. Perform various tasks ranging from providing technical telephone support to customers to conducting routine maintenance contract visits, equipment servicing, system commissioning, reactive breakdown support, and conducting site surveys with recommendations, and customer training. Work activities may be conducted on-shore or off-shore globally. Ensure completion of all necessary paperwork before and after site visits, including. This includes completing a pre-job safety assessment (PJSA), Method Statement and Risk Assessment, online induction training, completing a post site briefing, providing a site visit report, site time sheets, and completing expense reports. It is also imperative that all required post site documentation is collated and passed to the commercial team for invoicing. The Individual Bachelor's degree, HND/HNC, or similar qualification in a relevant engineering discipline. Preferably, experience with commissioning, servicing, and operation of complex Metering Products and Systems, Product Quality Gas Analyser and Liquid Sampling system applications, both on and offshore are preferable. Proficiency in reading engineering schematics and drawings to troubleshoot problems, apply approved modifications/upgrades, or install and interface with third-party equipment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with customers at any level of the organisation. Computer literate, with experience of Microsoft Office applications is essential. Willingness to travel extensively, often exceeding 50% of working time, across the globe.
