Job Description
Senior Corporate Tax Lawyer / Consultant
Location: Office, Hybrid, Remote – you choose.
Kingsley Wood is a legal services business on a mission to radically reshape the way legal services are delivered. We are a consultant-based model designed to enable the most talented lawyers to deliver their very best performance and to give a much more equitable share of their client revenues than traditional private practice.
We bring together a diverse range of legal minds, liberate them from the usual challenges of institutional private practice, and equip them with the tools, incentives, and purpose to operate in a way that serves them and their clients better than anyone else.
We are best in class and above all, we’re serious about ensuring our partners have everything they need to develop as a lawyer, grow their practice, and make an impact. Above all, we’re committed to providing the most flexible and supportive working life for our people.
Role
We are seeking an experienced UK qualified tax lawyer with a high level of technical knowledge and significant corporate transactional work experience for an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing our tax practice. A strong client following is not essential; however, a proactive approach to generating a further pipeline of clients is.
Responsibilities
1. Provide tax advisory support to clients, including tax issues and transactional support.
2. Work closely with clients to understand their needs and build lasting relationships.
3. Collaborate with colleagues in other teams to provide specialist tax support.
Requirements
* Qualified with a valid Solicitors' Practicing Certificate.
* Years+ PQE with strong relevant experience in corporate tax, gained in a law firm, accounting firm, or in-house.
* Strong academic background and a commitment to tax advisory work.
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
What Makes Us Different
* Up to 85% of what you bill.
* Operational support & technology that is 12 years in the making.
* Flexibility in hours & days worked, fully liberated from the usual 9-5.
* Ability to operate from our offices, at home, on client-site, or anywhere in the world.
* Opportunity to work alongside peers on cross-practice matters.
* Commitment to embrace innovation in everything we do; we’re new and not burdened by years of unnecessary process and precedent.
* Aspire to build the UK’s first legal entity where progressing gender, ethnicity, social, and cultural representation is at the heart, not the periphery.
If you’re ready for a fresh approach and already getting a strong sense of what we can achieve together, it’s time to get in touch.
