Therefore, the ideal candidate should reside within close proximity to these areas and be willing to work the occasional weekend or evenings when require What the job is about: The Health & Wellbeing Manager is directly responsible and accountable for the effective delivery of our programmes across a geographical area. This involves ensuring that the service provided meets or exceeds commissioner performance expectations, are delivered within agreed budget and to agreed quality standards. The role will be responsible for promoting Reed Wellbeing services to achieve participant referral profiles through the organisation of service promotion activities and the development of effective local stakeholder relationships. The role will manage service delivery, effectively planning and co-ordinating resources and monitor and quality assuring services to ensure they are delivered to the highest standards within contractual and budgetary requirements. Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include Leadership & Team Management Health & Wellbeing Coach Managers will line manage a small team of Health & Wellbeing Coaches primarily assigned to the service stream(s) for which they have responsibility. They will motivate and inspire their team to take ownership for and to deliver high impact, high quality lifestyle and wellbeing services. Service Improvement & Promotion Health & Wellbeing Coach Managers will take lead responsibility for one or more service streams, dependent on the size and complexity of the integrated health service to which they are assigned. They will be responsible for promoting the service and ensuring its delivery to the highest standards. Service Delivery Health & Wellbeing Coach Managers will spend approximately 50% of their time directly delivering services, normally within the service streams for which they have responsibility. Service delivery will involve a mix of group based, 1-to-1 delivery and, where appropriate home visits. Essential Criteria – Service Specialism • An understanding and interest in service stream specialism. •Demonstrable experience of having delivered in, project managed or managed a team delivering service specialism (or similar health service). Essential Criteria - Management • People management or project management skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Proven ability to build relationships and influence others. • Customer orientated and committed to continually improving the quality and effectiveness of service delivery. • Experience of delivering services within a quality assurance and governance framework. • Ability to implement business objectives and closely monitor achievement of targets. • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to set objectives, prioritise and provide sound judgement and decision-making. • Proven ability to work on your own initiative and work effectively as part of a team. Essential Criteria - Delivery • Ability to establish an effective and appropriate rapport with programme participants who need to achieve and maintain lifestyle changes (e.g. healthy weight, increased physical activity, reduction in alcohol intake). • Active listening skills whilst maintaining a non-judgemental perspective on participant’s lifestyle, weight and health. • Ability to communicate sensitively and accurately, information regarding an individual’s health and weight. • Ability to coach individuals and groups to identify solutions and develop knowledge and skills to support behavioural change. • Demonstrable time management and personal organisation skills with the capacity to monitor, evaluate and report on work carried out. • Willingness to undertake evening and weekend work as required. • Willingness and flexibility to travel in order to deliver programmes across designated region. Desirable Criteria • Demonstrated capability to work with MS Office packages and basic databases; capable of maintaining accurate and up to date records in paper and electronic systems to a high standard. Holding such records securely and confidentially. • Fluency in community languages. Community languages may include: Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Somali, Vietnamese, Dari, Yoruba, Turkish, French, Spanish, Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Guajarati, Polish, Serbian and Greek (dependent on location of service delivery). • Experience in using coaching skills and/o behavioural techniques to help individuals to improve their health and/or physical fitness.
