Assistant Poultry Farm Manager – Northallerton, North Yorkshire. Permanent, Full time, £32,000 - £35,300 per annum. We are working with an established Poultry Farm that is recruiting for an Assistant Poultry Farm Manager, who is looking to advance into the role of Poultry Farm Manager in the short term. A hands-on role where you will get stuck in from the start and have the opportunity to learn. Set up in the 1950’s, family owned, with family values, this is a team environment where everybody pulls together. A dedicated team that wants the best for the business. They have three farms based around the Northallerton area. In this role you will uphold and maintain excellent standards of environmental conditions for bird welfare, as well as monitor bedding, collate performance statistics, and record data, you will adhere to health and safety procedures/compliance and hygiene requirements. You will need the ability to multi-task, have a keen eye for detail, and work to deadlines. Not to mention being a good team player, with excellent communication skills. You will work under the direction of the onsite manager, and in their absence, you will be the next in line to manage the site. Previous experience in poultry would be advantageous and please note this can be physically demanding at times. A driving licence and access to your own transport is also required. This role is integral to the smooth running of the business. Therefore, there will be some duties to attend to outside of core hours, shared with other team members which includes weekends. Overtime will be paid above your standard hours. The standard working hours will be 39 hours a week, plus variable overtime as the role requires.
