Job Opportunity
We have a fabulous job opportunity for you to join our housing team as a Housing Officer. The role is about providing the best possible service and improving our residents’ satisfaction with us as their landlord.
We don’t just provide our customers with a home; it’s about building relationships with them. This means that when it comes to those occasional situations that are a bit difficult or tricky, we work to resolve the challenge together.
As a Housing Officer, you will fill void properties, manage estates, and deal with anti-social behaviour. However, the job is much more than that. It involves working closely with other colleagues and partners to ensure that where our customers need support, we can provide it and deliver an excellent customer experience. The quality of people’s lives is important to us.
Responsibilities
To make sure this happens, we are looking for a colleague who can demonstrate:
1. A positive attitude and outlook
2. A proven passion for delivering excellent customer service
3. A genuine desire to help our customers
4. Effective relationship, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
5. Ability to self-manage and prioritize
Ideally, you’ll understand social housing with experience in housing management activities such as void management, estate management, customer involvement, lettings, and other related tasks. However, we prioritize our ethos for great customer care ahead of the requirement for direct knowledge of the housing sector.
You will continuously improve services to meet challenging targets and obtain best value for customers. Working in partnership with stakeholders, external partners, and colleagues, you’ll ensure our residents receive a customer experience all the team can be proud of.
With over 1300 general needs properties across Leeds and Kirklees, this is an opportunity to work closely with the local community, collaborate with great colleagues, and be part of a busy team that has set ambitious goals for the future.
We positively welcome and support diversity in our workforce and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
