Dunbar Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Telford. This is a full-time position requiring a confident and experienced teacher who can engage students from Key Stages 3 and 4 and deliver high-quality English lessons. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible and will join a supportive and forward-thinking English department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to the needs of all learners.
2. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports students' academic and personal development.
3. Use innovative teaching methods to ensure high levels of student engagement and progress.
4. Regularly assess and provide constructive feedback to students to support their progress and attainment.
5. Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the development of departmental resources and schemes of work.
6. Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related subject.
2. Experience teaching English at the secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. A proactive and flexible approach to teaching and classroom management.
5. An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
